Your young writer will learn the fundamentals of storytelling; from story structure & literary devices to genres of writing, this course will encourage imagination whilst building creative writing skills. 

Deep dive into a genre of storytelling they love. Do they know a lot about outer space or the animals that live in the Arctic? Perfect! We will use their brilliant knowledge to develop a longer story with a cast of characters. By the end they will have their very own novella.

For younger children who aren’t yet confidently reading & writing: with the help of thoughtful picture books, story mountains & sensory play, your child will learn the magic of storytelling (and retelling), developing understanding of story structure, character & setting, whilst problem solving & building vocabulary.

Using your child’s favourite stories & knowledge, we will work on the mechanics & flow of handwriting to build legibility, speed, personal style & writing confidence.
