Great for any standard, this course will teach your child how to hone their eye with sketchbook studies, before introducing them to or developing their techniques for painting on canvas. Get creative, learn detail & perspective, &/or develop personal style & portfolio pieces.

In this introduction to oil paint, your child will be guided step by step through the basics of paint mixing, application & colour theory, gaining the tools to take their painting to the next level with this luxurious painting medium. 

The initial sessions of this course can take place at the National Gallery or British Museum, at which your child will study work of the masters, learning techniques, making study sketches & colour notes; the following sessions will take place at your home, where your child can apply the learning to their own painting. This is the way many of the great artists of history learned their skill.
